New improvements are in the works for the Linden area in Columbus, Ohio. The City of Columbus Parks and Rec department has ideas to connect over 131,000 residents between the northern Columbus area through North Linden, South Linden to just north of downtown using a 7 mile park.

The “Linden Green Line” intends to utilize an old railway that runs parallel to Cleveland Avenue to the east. Green space of about 7 miles is expected to be a linear park, including a wooded area, half-court basketball, trail, play area, a gathering area with seating and crosswalks.

“Kohr Place Parkette” is where the City plans to connect Linden Green Line to Cleveland Avenue with crosswalks for pedestrians to reach the new Columbus Metropolitan Library, schools, homes and churches.

This impressive idea would redevelop 58 acres, utilizing local funds and a $12 million RAISE Grant. Columbus Parks & Recreation estimate the Linden Green Line Project is a $25.7 million investment to connect neighborhoods, parks and other city attractions.

Our listing at 2199-2201 Cleveland Avenue is a duplex in close proximity to the proposed Linden Green Line. It is situated between a church parking lot and community garden; just a short walk to the newly remolded Columbus Metropolitan Library and where this project intends to offer many additional amenities.

Check it out!
